Codfish Academy brings independent game developers together with publishers, runs bespoke clinics, and gets involved in the projects that deserve a shot.
We sit in the middle. Part bridge, part coach, part fixer. We know the developers and we know the publishers - and we make the introductions that actually make sense, at the right moment.
We run bespoke clinics where studios get in front of the right people, and we get our hands dirty on special projects when something interesting comes along.

We have worked with developers across Europe - from early-stage teams with a prototype to studios looking for their next publishing deal. The common thread is commitment.
How does the clinic work?
Each edition is a bespoke one-day event in Óbidos. A publisher mentor gives a talk and then meets with selected studios individually for honest feedback and conversation.
How do I apply?
Applications open before each edition. Fill in the form on the clinic page, tell us about your game and what you need, and we will get back to you within a week.
Can I apply if my game is not finished?
Yes - you need a playable slice and a clear idea of where you are headed. Early is fine. Underprepared is not.
Do you work with studios outside Portugal?
Yes. The clinic itself is always in Óbidos, but we work with studios from across Europe and beyond. Travel is your responsibility but the event is worth the trip.
Is there a cost to attend?
The clinic is free for selected studios. We do not charge for the sessions or the feedback.
What happens after the clinic?
That depends on the conversations. Sometimes it leads to a direct publisher introduction. Sometimes it is feedback that shapes your next six months. Either way, you leave with something real.
