This intensive course is designed for Unity developers looking to transition seamlessly into Unreal Engine 5. Month 1: Unreal Engine Foundations & Core Systems
- Unreal Engine vs Unity, differences in philosophy, tools, and pipelines
- Project structure, folder organization, Blueprints, and C++ compared to Unity’s C#
- Deep dive into Unreal Editor with scene setup, navigation, viewports, actors, and components
- Blueprint visual scripting basics for non-programmers and comparisons with Unity’s C# scripting
- Gameplay Framework including Pawn, Controller, GameMode, and GameState
- Events, delegates, and input systems in C++ for handling player interaction
- Material Editor introduction with shader and material workflows unique to Unreal
- Niagara particle system overview and differences from Unity’s particle effects
- Level design and world-building with landscapes, foliage system, and lighting techniques
- Character movement, animation setup, and navigation systems
- Create a basic interactive level using Blueprints, imported assets, and UI elements
Month 2: Advanced Unreal Systems & Customization
